Position Summary:
This is a work-from-home position, although there will frequent driving for in-home sales calls with customers (mileage is reimbursed). Build customer relationships with homeowners through educational consultations. Design and sales of solar electric and battery storage systems; explain and demonstrate through in-home and virtual solar presentations; secure sales in the field; manage the internal sales cycle across all business units within the organization; responsible for seeing the entire sales process through – from initial phone call to a completed sales contract to post installation walk-through and beyond.
Responsibilities:
- Generate new leads and referral business through self-directed marketing activities (phone calls, emails, texts, social media, participation in events, etc.)
- Immediately and diligently follow up on company provided leads, maintaining accurate records in our database throughout the sales process
- Analyze customer energy bills, rooftop layouts, and propose appropriate solar energy systems to meet customer energy needs
- Provide in-home customer consultations (and virtual consults when appropriate)
- Utilize design software and all available resources to create highly accurate and customized solar designs for each project. Share job specifics with Operations staff for sold projects.
- Possess a good balance of sales AND technical skills; knowing when and where to use each skill set is crucial
- Work each phase of the sales cycle to resolve any engineering, project management or customer service issues
- Perform post-installation walk-through visits/calls to go over system specifics with each customer
Qualifications:
- 1 years selling solar to residential customers; 3 years of in-home sales
- Must have proficient computer skills and be very comfortable with virtual meetings • Knowledge of solar and battery storage design
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Must present a professional, pleasant demeanor and appearance in all situations • Experience working with a CRM system/software, preferably SalesForce • Must have reliable transportation
- Reside near the Eastside of Greater Seattle
